Sharon Kaye Claytor

Sharon was born to Leatrice A. Fitzgerald and Charles E. Fitzgerald on October 4th, 1959. After graduating from Stuarts Draft High School, Sharon spent a 30-year career as a CNA, doing private, in-home care for those in need. In her spare time, Sharon enjoyed gardening, riding with her husband on his motorcycle, shopping for clothes, shoes and jewelry, and listening to her oldies. Her favorite hobby was always spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was loved by all and was always up for an adventure.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Michael W. Claytor; her father, Charles E. Fitzgerald; her daughter, Karen Claytor; and her brother-in-law, Bill Claytor.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Bernice Mendoza of Goshen, Alicia Doyle (Chris) of Waynesboro, and Amber Fitzgerald (RJ) of Stuarts Draft; as well as her grandchildren, Nathan Mendoza, Amanda Nelson, Brendan Mendoza, Addison Mason, Dylan Almarode, Marley Perez, Michael Claytor, Desiree Graves, Jordan Graves, Maggie Graves, Austin Fitzgerald and Jacob Fitzgerald. In addition, she is survived by her great grandchildren, Mariah, Aubrey, Issac, Easton, Kaysen, Dallas, Layla, Nash, Amira, NovaLeah, AnnaLeah, Charlotte, Cohen, Christopher, Ayden, Emma, and one on the way. She is also survived by her mother, Leatrice Fitzgerald; her brother, Anthony Fitzgerald; her sister, Donna Claytor; a large extended family, and her faithful canine sidekick, MJ.

Funeral services are pending at Mountain Top Christian Church in Lyndhurst, with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
