Born March 8, 1960 in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Smith and Phyllis (Beard) Daves.
Sharon was a member of SherLynd Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Walmart where she worked as a customer service manager.
Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Larry McGhee; daughter, Renee Adkins of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Randall Wayne “Trey” Adkins, III and Stormy Norea Adkins; her twin sister, Karon Faircloth of Sherando; sister, Vicki Whitlock of Stuarts Draft; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro with Pastor Allen George officiating. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
