

Sharon Kaye (Plecker) Robinson, 60, of Crimora passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born in Rockingham County on May 17, 1956, a daughter of Homer Edward and the late Ellen Blanche (Roadcap) Plecker.
Sharon was a member of Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren. She loved camping and cheering on her children at sporting events. With her love for music, Sharon started her musical journey with the Singing Sergeants at Wilson Memorial High School and she continued singing with her church choir. Sharon always had a smile on her face, always loved dancing to the oldies and playing the piano. She will be remembered by her family for being a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother.
In addition to her father, survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, Bobby Robinson; children, Matthew Robinson and wife, Rhonda of Louisa and Melissa Carpenter and husband, Zachary of Meadowview; brothers, James Plecker and wife, Laura of Waynesboro and Michael Plecker and wife, Tabitha of Charlottesville; three grandchildren, Isaiah, Caleb Carpenter, and Sydney Herrion; a special aunt, Margaret Crickenberger; a dear camping friend, Barth Estes ; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Sharon also leaves behind her beloved four legged friend, Shady.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Augusta Memorial Park with Rev. Gayle Thornberry officiating. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren, 36 Crimora Mine Rd, Crimora, VA 24431, with Pastor David Stewart officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
Memorial donations may be made in Sharon’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, Central and Western Virginia Chapter, P.O. Box 4636, Charlottesville, VA 22980.
