Stephen was a veteran of the United States Army and a lifetime member of the Lee Lodge 209 in Waynesboro.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 34 years, Alice; four children, Stephanie Thacker and husband, Jay Lynn, Stephen Thacker, Jr., Joey Thacker and wife, Tawny, and Amanda Thacker; three grandsons, Ayden, Alexander and Jason; as well as an expected granddaughter, Charlie Thacker.
Following cremation, a private family graveside service will be conducted at Fishersville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Stephen’s memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office Department, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
