Tai was born in Vietnam to Minh Vien and Huong Hue Tran on October 15th, 1950. He emigrated to the United States in 2008, along with his wife and family. Tai enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling back to Vietnam.
In addition to his parents, Tai was preceded in death by a daughter, Trang Buu Vien; his brothers, Ton Vien, Sua Vien, Bao Vien, Cao Vien, Thanh Vien and a sister, Xoun Vien.
Tai is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Hoa Le Thai; his son, Khai Vien, a daughter, Tran Buu Vien; grandchildren, Hao Trien Hua and Vi Chi Hua; and sisters, Hoa Ngoc Vien and Linh My Vien.
A Buddhist funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Home with Monk Le Hau officiating.
