Tammy Darlene Witt

Tammy Darlene Witt, 50, of Waynesboro, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at her residence.

Ms. Witt was born on November 24, 1962 in Waynesboro and was a daughter of Harvey and Shirley (Stockman) Fitzgerald, who survive. Tammy was a homemaker. She had a great sense of humor, and never left the house without a cup of coffee. She was an avid NASCAR fan and she loved all types of music. Tammy also enjoyed camping and taking trips to the beach with her family. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

In addition to her parents, Tammy is survived by three daughters, Tonya Fitzgerald and fiancé Ross Price, Jennifer Witt, Julie Wiseman and fiancé Alan Gross, all of Waynesboro; one sister, Kim Campbell and husband Tony of Waynesboro; three half-sisters, Lisa Phillips of Lyndhurst, Beth Hatter of Fishersville, Vickie Snell of Crimora; two half-brothers, Tommy Fitzgerald of Stuarts Draft, Steve Fitzgerald of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Haven Fitzgerald, Aiden Fitzgerald, Kaylei Witt, Landon Wiseman, Allie Gross; sisters in law, Jane Fitzgerald of Waynesboro, Kathy Fitzgerald of Waynesboro; two nephews, Clayton Fitzgerald, Colt Fitzgerald; four nieces, Holly Fitzgerald, McKenzie Fitzgerald, Heather Hydrick, Megan Campbell; her beloved dog “Gage” and many special friends who will miss her greatly. Tammy was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Fitzgerald and Russ Fitzgerald; one half-brother, Dale Fitzgerald; and one half-sister, Diane Painter.

The family will receive friends on Thursday December 27, 2012 from 6 until 8 PM at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. The burial will be held privately and at a later date.
