
Thomas was born in Virginia to the late Dorothy (Thomas) Taylor and Frank G. Taylor on December 4th, 1945. Thomas had his Master’s Degree and served for 40 years as an English teacher, working in Williamsburg, Buffalo Gap, and Waynesboro City Schools. After “retirement” he began teaching at Blue Ridge Community College, where he spent several years. He was an avid reader, devouring any book that was put in front of him, and spoke German. He was a longtime member of Waynesboro Church of Christ.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Faye Shannon Taylor; a sister-in-law, Connie Lawhorn of Henderson, NV; nieces, Michele Ragsdale, Angela Lawhorn, and Heather Miller; nephew, Jason Nelson; and a cousin, Ann Morris. He is also survived by his church family.
A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Allen Close officiating. Following the service, Waynesboro Church of Christ will be receiving friends and family for a time of fellowship and remembrance.
