Timothy Ray Ponton

He was born November 2, 1957, a son of the late Ray Samuel and Annie Faye (Bruce) Ponton.

Timothy was a member of Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren and was formerly employed by the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Survivors include his wife, Lela Michele (Cox) Ponton; his fur baby, Luke, as well as numerous others; two brothers, Thomas “Tom” Ponton and his grandson, Knolan, Troy Ponton and his honey, Theresa; sister, Tonia Harris and husband, Kelvin, also known as “Doo”; niece, Jordan; nephew, Adam.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his residence of 92 Loop Circle, Crimora.

The family wishes to thank the first responders from the both the Grottoes Rescue Squad and Dooms Fire Department for their efforts.
