
He born in New York, NY on December 5, 1938 to the late Richard L. and Mair Davies Williams.
He attended high school in South Charleston, WV and was a proud 1960 graduate of West Virginia University.
Bill served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1968.
On October 30, 1971, he married Faye Gianniny Williams in Charlottesville. He was State Farm Insurance agent in Waynesboro, VA for forty-two years. Bill spent many years volunteering with youth organizations in Augusta County, coaching basketball, t-ball, and serving as a Cub Scout leader. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Ivy.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Survivors include his sons, Matthew Richard Williams of Springfield, Marc Alexander Williams of Fredericksburg, Jonathan David Williams of Charlottesville; daughters, Melissa Rosegrant Williams, Adriana Del Pilar Hernandez-Viver; grandchildren, Owen Russell Williams and Helen Marie Williams.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m on Friday, February 11, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church Cemetery with Father Tony Andras officiating. A celebration of life service will take place at a later date when it is safe to gather indoors.
