Yourtha M. "Yorty" Claytor

Born June 23, 1934 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late John and Elsie (Dooms) Claytor.

Yorty owned and operated Claytor Radiator Shop for many years. When he was not working he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Claytor.

Survivors include his children, Michael Claytor and wife Sharon of Stuarts Draft, Paul Claytor and wife Lisa of South Carolina, Bill Claytor and wife Donna of Greenville, Madeleine Snyder and husband Kenneth of Afton, Arlene Cleveland of Stuarts Draft, Mary Magoon and husband Mike of Greenville and Christine Fitzgerald and husband Thomas of Stuarts Draft; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., with Pastor Matthew Coiner officiating. Following the service, his body will be cremated and all remaining services will be private. Military rites will be provided by the American Legion 340.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the funeral home.
