Alice V. McKinney Lutes

She was born May 27, 1915 at Leckrone, a daughter of the late George and Mary Miller McKinney. She graduated from Jefferson High School.

On May 12, 1934 she married John M. Belford, who died December 23, 1957. On October 17, 1963 she married John H. Lutes who died October 6, 2001.

She held various jobs in the local area.

Mrs. Lutes was a member of the Mather Christian Church, and had attended the First Church of the Nazarene at Waynesburg and the Verona Presbyterian Church.

She enjoyed shopping and was a wonderful cook.

Surviving are a daughter, Marilee B. Sabo (Jerry) of Pittsburgh; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 step-daughters, Charlotte and Ruth Filby.

Deceased are two sons, Jack Belford and Randy Belford; a brother Mendell McKinney, two sisters, Arlene King and Joan Vavrek; and two step-sons, Robert and James Lutes.

Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 with Rev. John M. Poling officiating followed by interment at Greene County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene 115 Deerfield Ln, Waynesburg, PA 15370.
