Anna B. Hartley Johnson

She was born October 18, 1919 at Carmichaels, a daughter of the late Edgar Minor Hartley and Sarah Ann Armstrong Hartley.

She was a graduate of Cumberland Township High School.

Mrs. Johnson retired as the chief clerk of Central Greene School District after 23 years of service.

She resided most of her life in Waynesburg where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Cornerstone Genealogy Society, and the Library Club. She enjoyed playing bridge.

Surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth (Charles) Torok of Chardon, OH; two grandsons, Charles Robert Torok and David Noah Torok; and one great-grandson, Nickolas Torok.

Deceased are her husband, William Robert Johnson, who died in 1985; 3 brothers, Howard Hartley, Noah Hartley, and Oscar Hartley; and 3 sisters, Mary Jane Titus, Elizabeth Keener, and Laura Ely.

Friends will be received 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. at Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 with Rev. Gary Grau and Rev. William Parker officiating followed by burial at Rosemont Cemetery at Rogersville.
