Anna E. Mayhle of Waynesburg passed away peacefully on Monday, June 4, 2018 in Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation, where she had been a resident for over a year.

She was born April 7, 1926 in Rogersville, to James Ross Gray and Alice Roberts Gray. She resided in Waynesburg the majority of her life.

She was the beloved wife of 37 years to Merle W. Mayhle, who preceded her in death in July of 1984. They were married June 3, 1947.

She and her husband owned and operated Mayhle’s Greenhouse and was a beloved mother and grandmother, who loved gardening, flowers, sewing, quilting, cooking and baking. She also loved playing dominos and rummikub with friends and family.

She was a lifelong member and faithful attendee of the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church of Waynesburg.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Ray (Donna D.) and Ross E. (Donna L.) of Waynesburg; and one daughter, Wanda L. (Frank) Maley of Salem, Ohio. One daughter, Donna Kay (John) Richardson is deceased. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, David Richardson, Nate Maley, Jeff Mayhle, Tammy Scherner, Brent Maley, Holly Forrider, Julie Shriver, Mike Mayhle, Jody Morgan, and Tina Pannone.; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are five brothers, Raymond, Ivan, Charles, Allen, and Roy Gray; three sisters, Ruth Blaker, Grace Hewitt, and Laurene Patterson.
