She was born May 4, 1951 in Waynesburg, a daughter of Virginia Bowers Thomas of Spraggs and the late Kenneth Thomas.
She was a 1969 graduate of West Greene High School.
On May 28, 1985 she married Thomas P. Bruno, who survives.
Mrs. Bruno retired from Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, where she worked as a nurse’s aide.
She was a member of Crossroads Church in Morgantown, WV.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are two sons, Scott I. Staggers (Jennifer) and Steven L. Staggers (Sherrie) all of Spraggs; 5 grandchildren, Brittany Staggers Ellis, Ashley Staggers, Jacob Staggers, Madison Staggers, and Brodie Staggers; 3 brothers, Kenneth Thomas Jr. (Rose) of Waynesburg, Robert Thomas of Spraggs, and Gerald Thomas (Davetta) of Waynesburg; 2 sisters, Joyce Tharp (Doug) of Wind Ridge and Kimberly Thomas of Spraggs; and several nieces and nephews.
