Barbara J. Dean

She was born Thursday, December 20, 1928 in Greene Co., PA a daughter of the late Samuel Throckmorton and Alice Crouse Throckmorton.

Mrs. Dean enjoyed painting, sketching, writing poetry, and was an avid reader. She always loved animals. During World War II she worked in the tobacco fields in Connecticut and Massachusetts. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband Donald R. Dean, whom she married on Wednesday, December 14, 1949.

Marjorie Dawn (Dennis) Doran, Pittsburgh, PA

Sherry (Daniel Dougherty) Dean, South Orange, NJ. 6 Grandchildren: Daron (Camden) Doran, Devon (LeAnne) Doran, Declan (Jessica) Doran, Darci (Adam) Ellsworth, Chelsea Dougherty and Taylor Dougherty. 5 Great-Grandchildren.

Deceased are 3 Sisters: Lillian Throckmorton, Ruth McDonald and 1 who died in infancy.

Friends will be received from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 24, 2017 in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH,Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director,197 N. Maiden St Waynesburg, PA 15370 where services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 25, 2017 with Pastor Cynthia Deter officiating. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville, PA.
