A native of California, Ben embraced his new home in Waynesburg, when the family relocated in 1991.
After graduating from Waynesburg Central High School in 1997, Ben earned his BA in Communications in 2003 from Waynesburg College. Ben not only excelled academically but also made time for as many extracurricular activities as possible.
Ben followed all sports but remained especially true to Waynesburg University athletic teams, the Oakland Raiders and the Duke Blue Devils.
Ben embraced a life full of purpose, free from judgment, and rich with love and understanding of others. He willingly shared of himself with all who chose to know him. Into his final hours, he continued to express gratitude for those who attended to his care.
Ben truly showed all how to live a life of grace in the face of the challenge of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Please join Ben’s family for a celebration of his life on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 1:30 p.m., in the Goodwin Performing Arts Center, located on the Waynesburg University Campus, 51 W. College St., Waynesburg, PA 15370. Condolences may be expressed online at www.behmfh.com.
