She was the daughter of the late Glenn W. Canan and Nelle Morris Canan. Betty was a member of the Oakview Methodist Church in Waynesburg. She worked as a Occupational Physical Therapist at the University of Alabama Birmingham and later retired as Associate Dean. She is survived by 1 Brother: Neil (Phyllis) Canan of Leesburg, FL, 1 Niece: Deborah Canan Ross of Jefferson, PA, 1 Nephew: Brad E. (Roberta) Martin of Pataskala, OH, 1 Great Niece: Mia Jo Ross and 1 Great Nephew: Brody M. Ross, both of Jefferson, PA and several cousins. Deceased: 1 Brother- Richard "Dick" W. Canan, 1 Aunt- Betty Morris Scott and 1 Nephew- Brent E. Martin. Friends will be received from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers-Managing Director with her service being held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Brian Long officiating. Her final resting place will be Greene County Memorial Park in Waynesburg.
