

He was born Saturday, July 04, 1931 in Mount Morris, PA A son of the late Charles L. Dulaney and Addie Marie Johnson Dulaney. Mr. Delaney spent his entire life in Greene County.
Mr. Delaney was a member of the Mt. Morris United Methodist Church in Mt. Morris where he served as a Trustee and Board Member. He was a veteran having served with the United States Army during the Korean War and spent 17 months in Korea. He was a member of the James T. Maxon American Legion Post #992 of Mt. Morris, for 68 years. He was also a member of the Waynesburg Moose Lodge #461 and the Mt. Morris Lions Club.
Mr. Delaney was a member of the Greene County, Pennsylvania, and National Rural Mail Carriers Association. He had served on the Cedar Grove Cemetery Board for several years. He was awarded the Dunkard Twp. Citizen of the year award.
Mr. Delaney started with the Mt. Morris Volunteer Fire Department in 1949 and has been a member for 69 years and was still and active member until his death. He served as chief of the Mt. Morris Fire Department for 52 years from 1958 to 2010. He was also a member of the Greene County Volunteer Fireman Association.
He started working for the Mt. Morris Motor Company in 1949 and also worked for Fox Auto in Waynesburg until 1961 as a mechanic. He also worked for his brother in the evenings as a mechanic. He then began working for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural mail carrier in Mt. Morris for 30 years.
He is survived by his Wife: Evelyn Fox Delaney, whom he married on December 19,1956.
Also surviving are 1 Son: Douglas Delaney, of Morgantown, WV., 3 Sisters: Dora Mae Cook, of Pittsburgh, PA.,
Annabelle D. Herrington, of Mt. Morris, PA., and Lillian "Vickie" Dulaney, of Washington, PA., and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are 2 Sisters: Sharon Anne Dulaney and Kathleen Francis, and 1 Brother: Jimmy Edgar Dulaney
Friends will be received from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in the Mt. Morris United Methodist Church 256 Mt. Morris Road Mt. Morris, PA. 15349 where services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 30, 2018 with Rev. Jacob Judy officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director,324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O. Box 478 Mount Morris, PA 15349 are entrusted with the arrangements. Graveside Military rites will be accorded by the James T. Maxon America Legion Post #992 of Mt. Morris. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to the Mt.
