Carol M. Corwin

She was born November 22, 1934 in Waynesburg, PA, a daughter of the late Lester Moston and Mildred Coughtry Moston.

Carol was a longtime resident of Greene County. She was a graduate of Waynesburg high school, class of 1951, and from Waynesburg College, class of 1955 with a Bachelor in Education degree.

She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Waynesburg, a former member of the choir, a former Sunday School teacher, a member and past President of the Harmony Class, a member and past President as well as secretary and treasurer of the United Methodist women and secretary of the administrative board for several years. She was also member and past President and treasurer of the Ladies Gasco club, a member of the Greene County and Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, a member of the Waynesburg Senior Center and was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Carol was also a caseworker for the department of public welfare from 1955 to 1957, and she retired from a 25 year teaching position from Central Greene School District in 1990.

Her Husband: Alfred Daniel Corwin, whom she married on September 11, 1954 died September 14, 2017. Surviving are 3 Sons: Craig and wife Nora Corwin of Cannonsburg, PA, John and wife Silvia Corwin of Mt. Airy, GA, Mark and Rene Corwin of Moon Township, PA, 5 Grandchildren: Daniel and Benton Corwin, Zack and Evette Corwin, Dylan and wife Nicole Corwin, 3 Great-Grandchildren: Asher, Lennox and Emmett, her Twin Sister: Alice Greenlee of Wintersville, OH, 2 Brothers: Robert and wife Juanita Moston of Grand Junction, CO and Lawrence Moston of Gainesville, VA and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on Friday, July 24, 2026 in the Milliken Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., 197 North Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers-Managing Director with her funeral service being held at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Twp., PA 15370.
