A native of Carmichaels, he was a son of the late Joseph C. and Anna Baresich Morris. After graduating from Carmichaels High School in 1967, he went to the University of Notre Dame, graduating with the class of 1971. He went on to Duquesne University School of Law, class of 1975. He served as Greene County District Attorney before joining what is now the firm of Pollock Morris Belletti and Sims. He also served as Greene County Commissioner. He was on the Bowlby Library Board and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, and attended St. Ann Church in St. Matthias Parish. A past member of the Pennsylvania and Greene County Bar Associations, and County Commissioners Association of PA; he had also served as Chairman of Greene County Planning Commission.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; his cherished children, Jenna Morris and Trevor Morris, MD (Megan Sandberg, MD), his adored granddaughter, Ellie June Morris; siblings, Audrey (Joe) Vuknic, Robert (Diane) Morris; nephew and niece, Joe (Bess) Vuknic and MaryAnn (Cody) Myers, and great-niece, Morgan Vuknic.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his children, Alex and Adam Morris.
Chuck was an avid golfer and reader. The quintessential family man, he coached his son's baseball team, his daughter's softball team, and enjoyed many Pirate games with his daughter. He was also very proud to have been on the Carmichaels All-Star Little League team which traveled to and played in Williamsport. He also loved and was loved by his cats, Stan and Geno, and his dog, Sunny.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15 from 4 to 8 PM at Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High St., Waynesburg, PA 15370. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, May 16 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 232 E. High St., Waynesburg, PA 15370; interment to follow at St. Ann Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations could be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
