Clifford Daniel Lomas

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Clifford D. Lomas, age 64, on September 14, 2019 at his home. He was born on February 6, 1955 to loving parents Bill and Ruby Lomas. After retiring from a long career that started with proudly serving the United States Army and continuing through his later years in retail management, he relentlessly strived to motivate and enrich the lives of everyone he met. Cliff was predeceased by his beloved wife of 37 years Paula, his parents Bill and Ruby, and step-father Larry Carey. He is survived by his son Shawn Lomas (Alexa Schlackman), Izzy (beloved and trusted service dog), his mother-in-law Karen Prose (Jon Chilson), his brother in arms, Robert Dwyer (Janet Dwyer), his dear family friend Kathi Schmidt, as well as many other family and friends. To cherish his memory, there will be a greeting of family and friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the hour of a memorial service at the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St. Waynesburg, PA on Monday, September 30th, 2019 with Rev. William Parker officiating.Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA. Military graveside rites to be accorded by Greene County Veterans and members of the US Army. In honor of Clifford’s favorite charities, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made in the form of donations to their local Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Hospital St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
