David M. Simpson

He was born Thursday, February 02, 1956 in Waynesburg, PA. A son of the late John Albert Simpson and Carrie Louise Staggers Simpson.

Mr. Simpson was a 1974 Graduate of Waynesburg Central High School. He was a member of the Waynesburg Moose Lodge #461, the NRA, and the Nemacolin Shooting Academy. He was a former member of the Waynesburg Sportsman Club. He was a Union member of the United Mine Workers Association. For 10 years he was a 4H leader with the Market Steer Club in Waynesburg and was an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He worked for 38 years as a coal miner with Cumberland Coal Mine.

His wife Clarketta Orndorff Simpson, whom he married on May 26,1979 died September 29, 2003.

Surviving are 2 Sons: Wesley Simpson and his wife Bianca of Waynesburg, and Lanfer Simpson, and his wife Kristin of Waynesburg, PA., 4 Grandchildren: Brysen, Brylee, Landon, and Lincoln, 2 Brothers: John A. Simpson,Jr. and his wife Marie of Waynesburg, and J. Randy Simpson and his wife Sheri of Waynesburg, and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is 1 Son: Derrick William Simpson

Friends will be received from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director,197 N. Maiden St Waynesburg, PA 15370 where services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 19, 2018 with Rev. Kathy Higgins officiating. Burial will be in Fairall Cemetery, Whiteley Twp., Greene County, PA.
