Diana C. White

Diana C. White, 69, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly at 9:10 AM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in the Washington Hospital, Washington, PA. She was born on May 14, 1954 in Waynesburg, PA, a daughter of the late Kermit R. Christopher, Jr. and Norma Jean Moseholder Christopher Humble. Diana attended WV Junior College , where she received her Associates Degree as a Medical Secretary. She purchased the Sears Catalog Store in 1986, and after closing it she then put in a Maytag Appliance Store. She later put in the Subway Store in 1990, was the owner and operator, did the bookkeeping and managed it until her passing. Diana loved walking her dog, traveling to Florida, and absolutely loved being "Nonnie" to her grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping at T.J. Maxx and having lunch with her best friend Carolyn Huffman McGrath. Diana loved sports, and when she was younger played wiffle ball and basketball. She loved painting, riding her bike, boating in Florida and on the Monongahela and liked to cook too. Above all, she loved her family unconditionally. Her Husband: Holbert J. "Bucky" White, Jr. whom she married on February 14, 1982 survives. Also surviving are 4 Daughters: Amy (Jonathan) Hopkins of Waynesburg, PA, Carly White of Fredericktown, PA, Lori Fox of Waynesburg, PA and Beth (Jim) Swords of Waynesburg, PA, 5 Grandchildren: Reese and Gavin Hopkins, Nathan and Sydney Fox and Megan Swords, 2 Sisters: Karen Toothman and Melanie Christopher, 3 Brothers: Kermit R. Christopher III, David Christopher and Shaun Christopher and several nieces and nephews. There will be visitation on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home., Inc. 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers, Director. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the First Presbyterian Church in Waynesburg.
