He was born in Greene County, PA, a son of the late John Lindsey Dean and Ermaline Taylor Dean.
Donald was a member of the Verona Masonic Lodge for many years.
He was one of seven children and was the last of his immediate family.
His Wife: Barbara Jean Throckmorton Dean whom he married on December 14, 1949 passed on November 19, 2017. Surviving are 2 Daughters: Marjorie Dawn and Dennis Doran of Pittsburgh, PA and Sherry Dean and husband Daniel Dougherty of Tewksbury, NJ, 6 Grandchildren: Daron, Devon, Declan, Darci, Chelsea and Taylor, 10 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents are 2 Sisters: Mary Louise and Henrietta, 4 Brothers: John, George, Paul and Lloyd "Sonny" Dean and his beloved dog and best friend Miley.
There will be visitation from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2026 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers-Managing Director where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 18, 2026.
