Dorothy Butekoff Rhodes

She was born February 6, 1927 in Nowrytown, a daughter of the late Yefram and Magdalena Kolincio Butekoff.

Dorothy was a graduate of Elders Ridge High School, Indiana County in 1945.

She did some modeling for a few years and then worked for 40 years as an assistant manager of a Lerner’s Department Store in the Chicago area.

Upon their retirement, Ed and Dorothy moved from Illinois to Waynesburg.

On June 16, 1951 she married J. Edward Rhodes, who died March 2, 2008.

While living in Waynesburg she was a member of the Oakview United Methodist Church and she enjoyed playing golf.

Surviving is a brother, Anthony “Tony” Butekoff of Saltsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, John Butekoff and Nicholas Butekoff; four sisters, Nancy, Mary, Helen, and Anita Lane.
