Edward F. Bechen Sr.

Edward F. Bechen Sr., 88, of Waynesburg, PA passed away at 5:39 PM on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born October 31, 1937 in Dubuque, Iowa, a son of the late Emil Bechen and Edna Bechen.

Edward enjoyed taking walks, sitting on the Waynesburg courthouse wall and ordering chicken baskets from Lavern's. He worked in manufacturing, building cabinets and had also worked at Wolfe Funeral Home in Wilkinsburg, PA.

His Wife: Clara L. Seiters Bechen whom he married on February 27, 1959 died on December 25, 2022. Surviving are 4 Sons: Eddie Bechen Jr. of Clarksville, PA, Chris and wife Mimi Bechen of Bobtown, PA, Jeffrey Bechen of Greensboro, PA and Michael Bechen of Pittsburgh, PA, 5 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren. Deceased are 2 Granddaughters.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, July 6, 2026 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers- Managing Director, where his funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rick Croyle officiating.
