Edward Allen Dulaney

Edward Allen Dulaney age 57 of Waynesburg passed away Monday February 19, 2108 following a lengthy battle against COPD and Emphysema.

He was born October 19, 1960 in Waynesburg a son of Rachel Mayle Dulaney of Harrisburg and the late John Edward Dulaney. He was the grandson of the late Fred and Madge Dulaney and Tom and Jean Mayle.

He grew up on what was then Rd#3. Like his father, in his heart he was always a Sugar Run boy. He was a 1980 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School and attended the Hiram G. Andrews Career Center.

Until his health forced him to retire, he was employed as a maintenance worker for Greene County. He was proud of how clean the County Courthouse was under his care. Mr. Dulaney was a Christian by faith.

He was a past member of the Eagles Club, and was a social member of the VFW and American Legion. Although it came late in his life, he was very proud that he had recently earned this two year Sobriety Coin from A.A.

Surviving in addition to his mother are a sister, Joy Dulaney Drake and her husband, Jim of Harrisburg; two brothers, Rick Dulaney of Harrisburg and Sean Dulaney and his wife Tenley of Harrisburg ;one niece , Faith Drake; two nephews, Jonathon Dulaney and Aiden Dulaney. He is also survived by his aunt, Cindy Brewer with whom he shared a special bond. She was his caregiver during much of his adult life and throughout his illness.

There will be no viewing or services at this time. A memorial will be planned at the discretion of the family. Ed will be cremated. Some warm summer day, Aunt Cin and Ed. Will walk to the top of Grandma Dulaney’s hill and scatter his ashes.
