He was born July 17, 1948 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Charles and Lillian Price Scott.
He was a graduate of Waynesburg Central High School.
Mr. Scott was a retired coal miner for Humphrey Mine.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star; the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Combat Infantryman Badge; and Marksman. Mr. Scott also served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for 17 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherry Fuller of Waynesburg and Terri Madlock (Ryan) of Waynesburg; 5 grandchildren, Austin Fuller-Scott, Kaile Fuller, Makenzie Fuller, Zachary Madlock, and Tyler Madlock; one brother, Terry Scott of Waynesburg; sister, Sharon Matthews (Dave) of Stevens; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Deceased is a brother Thomas Scott.
Friends will be received 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm Friday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 W. High St., Waynesburg where services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 with Rev. Richard Berkey officiating followed by interment in Rosemont Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 330, and the U. S. Army.
