

He was born April 20, 1934, in Highfill, AR, a son of the late Herbert and Mary Penn Kinsey.
His first eight years he spent out west, mostly in Arizona. Then his family moved back to Arkansas in 1942. He lived there until he was 25, and at that time he moved to Kansas.
He was in the Marine reserves I high school, sometime after that he was drafted into the United States Army, took basic training in Ft. Bliss, TX, his second training at Fort Gordon, GA, then served in the United Nations peacekeeping forces in Korea, shortly after the war.
Glen started working for Cessna Aircraft Company as a high school dropout, trainee draftsman. Sixteen years later he was the chief engineer for one of the major hydraulic companies in America. Later in life he owned three successful business in Waynesburg.
He was a Bible reading, flag waving law abiding citizen. He had many hobbies, including, coin collecting, woodworking, sheet metal working, genealogy, wood carving and writing. During his 25 plus years of retirement, he built seven cars three pieces of furniture, many jewelry boxes and picture frames.
On November 23, 1994, he married, Bonnie Davis, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Gary Kinsey of Dallas, TX and Jerry Kinsey of Tyler, TX; a daughter, Karen Kinsey of Houston, TX; a stepdaughter, Lisa Hinerman of Moundsville, WV; a stepson, Eric Hinerman of Cincinnati, OH; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two stepbrothers, Lee Shaw of Ft. Worth, TX and Jim Shaw of Hutchinson, KS; a half-sister, Tammy Uffleman of Phoenix, AZ.
Deceased is a brother, Dean Kinsey and a sister, Pat King.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, in the First Christian Church of Carmichaels, 235 S. Market St., Carmichaels, PA 15320, doors will open at 10 am with the services to start at 11:00 am, with Mark Willis officiating. Following the services there will be a luncheon in the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Jude Hospital, the Shriners Hospital for Children or the First Christian Church of Carmichaels.
