James T. "Jim" Connors

James T. "Jim"  Connors, 89, of Waynesburg, PA, died at 3:13 AM Tuesday, January 03, 2017 at home.   He was born Friday, February 25, 1927 in Jere,WV a son of the late Timothy Connors and Maggie Mae Logan Connors.

 Mr. Connors was a lifelong Greene County resident. He was a member of the Mt. Morris United Methodist Church.  Mr. Connors was also a member of the US Armed Services.  He belonged to the State Farm Agents Association.  One of his most favorite things to do was to sit on his front porch with his wife after a long day of mowing on his John Deere Tractors.  Mr. Connors was the owner and operator of Jim's Body Shop in Waynesburg from 1950 till 1964.  He then started to work for the State Farm Insurance Agency in Waynesburg, and retired in 1990 after 27 years of service.  Mr. Connors was also an avid "gentleman farmer."  He is survived by his beloved wife Juanita M. Capers Connors whom he had been married to for almost 70 years.  Also surviving are 1 Daughter:  Linda Connors of Waynesburg, PA and 1 Son:  James T. (Charlotte) Connors II of Waynesburg, PA, 5 Grandsons:  J. James, Casey, Justin, Jeremy and Jordan.  6 Great-Grandchildren:  Aaron, Ryan, Aislinn, Shannon, Finn and Logan.  Several nieces and nephews and his faithful cat Bootsie.   Deceased:  1 Grandson- Timothy James Connors, 1 Sister- Rena Pierce and 2 Brothers- Hebert Connors and Paul Connors.     

 Friends will be received from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2017 in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH,Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director,197 N. Maiden St Waynesburg, PA 15370 where services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 with Rev. Cristy Wise officiating.  Entombment will be in Greene Co. Memorial Park, Waynesburg, PA. The family would like to send a special thank you to all of his caregivers and also to Amedisys Hospice for the loving care he received.  The family suggest memorials be made to The Alzheimer's Association / 1100 Liberty Avenue/ Suite E-201 / Pittsburgh, PA 15222
