

He was born December 5, 1938 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Charles and Fehr Steinbaugh McCall.
He was a 1962 graduate of Waynesburg College.
John worked as a sales representative for several businesses including the Kendall Company in Chicago.
He returned to Waynesburg in 1970’s and was hired as the Borough Manager. He had also served as the Mayor of Waynesburg . He had operated a clothing store in Waynesburg and two framing shops , including the Frame-up and Gallery on High St. Mr. McCall was involved in various civic groups including Waynesburg Prosperous and Beautiful.
He attended the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesburg . He was an avid gardener, had a great passion for vintage cars and flying. He played trumpet in his early years.
Surviving are two daughters, Katherine Kalsey (Ross) of Waynesburg and Emily Peel-Carroll (Jeff) of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Mary Gregory of Waynesburg; and two granddaughters.
A brother, C. Robert McCall is deceased.
Friends will be received 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday July 24, 2015 with Rev.
