Juanita G Broadwater

She was born April 9, 1931, in Rogersville, a daughter of the late Millard M. and Georgia May Morris Stockdale.

Juanita worked as a seamstress for Greenway Manufacturing; for 14 years at the former Fisher’s Big Wheel and then at Bob Evans Restaurant.

She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Lippencott.

Juanita enjoyed gardening, dancing, and quilting.

On January 11, 1951, she married Wallace H. “Pete” Broadwater, who died May 30, 2015.

They were fortunate to have enjoyed several years in retirement wintering in Bonita Beach, Florida where they made many lifelong friends.

Surviving are two children, Vickey (Ron) Alfred of Pearisburg, VA, and Jeffrey (Timi) Broadwater of Carmichaels; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Patricia Faux of Imperial, Pennsylvania and one brother George (Sonny) of Sun City, Arizona as well as several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers, Neil, Robert, and Stanley as well as two sisters, Sandra and Hilda Huey are deceased.

Friends will be received on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 10 am to 12 noon, the hour of services in the Milliken & Throckmorton Funeral Home, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370, Shane M. Ayers, supervisor, with Rev. Nick Bardo officiating. Entombment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to Calvary Baptist Church.
