

She was born August 2, 1923 in Washington, a daughter of the late Todd M. and Claire McCleary Conklin.
She was a graduate of Waynesburg High School and Penn Commercial Business School.
Mrs. Hammers was employed as a teller for First National Bank and Trust Company in Waynesburg for 23 years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesburg.
Mrs. Hammers was devoted to her family. She loved to read and solve crossword puzzles.
Surviving are a son Jay S. Hammers (Darla) of Washington; three grandchildren, Heather Yeaney (Merv) of Washington, Casie Trabucco (Jeremy) of Houston, and Dr. Robert Daniels Jr. (Jill) of Washington; four great-grandchildren, Holly Yeaney, Logan, Lexi, and Lucas Daniels; and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter, Jacqueline Lemley; three sisters, Jane Conklin, Barbara Stephenson, and Claire Corrine Conklin; and one brother, Todd C. Conklin.
