Louise Ruth (Carson) Pierce

Louise Ruth Carson Pierce, 91, died June 5, 2025. She was born on June 3, 1934 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania. A resident of Okeechobee for over 40 years, she enjoyed Fox News, jigsaw puzzles, spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling to Pennsylvania to visit family.

Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Carson; father, Roy Carson; sister, Emily Carson; brothers, Rex Carson and Dick Carson; daughter, Jamie Pierce; sons, Doug Giles and Randy Giles; and granddaughter, Heather Dean.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Cartwright; grandchildren, Stacey Dadd, James Pierce, Jr., Joshua Giles, Michael Pierce, Corey Eddy, Bradley Giles, Gretchen Pritts, Jeremy Giles, and Nicholas Pierce; great grandchildren, Devon Scruggs, Hailey Eddy, Jordan Pierce, Ida Giles, Michael Pierce, Ariana Pierce, Dakota Dadd, Maddison Eddy, Colton Pritts, Olivia Giles, and Elissa Pierce; great-great grandson, Bryer Clendenin; sisters, Carol Vanzandt, Mary Hawk, and Linda Carson; brothers, Greg Carson and Rick Carson; best friend, Anna Wilson; her favorite, Michele Derry; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, June 20, 2025 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers, Managing Director with her funeral service being held at 1:00 PM with Pastor William Bradley officiating.
