Mary Lou Moore Brewer

Mary Lou Moore Brewer age 78 of Spraggs died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in at Waynesburg.

She was born February 24, 1933 in Spraggs, a daughter of the late William Ray and Edna Perry Moore.

On December30, 1950 she married Harold Stewart Brewer, who died February 15, 1993.

Mrs. Brewer had worked in the jewelry department at Fisher’s Big Wheel in Waynesburg.

She was a former resident of Elyria, OH and San Bernardino, CA. She returned to Spraggs in 1968. Mrs. Brewer was a member of the Spraggs United Methodist Church, and a former Boy Scout Leader. She enjoyed family gatherings, scrap booking, puzzles and collecting.

Surviving are a daughter, Cindy S. Brewer of Spraggs; five sons, Michael S. Brewer and wife Cathy of Rices Landing, Keith D. Brewer and wife Catherine of Gilroy, CA, H. Gregory Brewer and wife Corina of Waynesburg, Steven R. Brewer of Bridgeville, and R. Scott Brewer and wife Loretta of Spraggs; a daughter-in-law, Cindy S. Dulaney Brewer of Waynesburg. 11 grandchildren, Jessica (Doug) Steves, Amanda (Frank) Yocco, Brian Brewer, Brandon Brewer, Adam Brewer, Matthew (Kim) Brewer, Vanessa Brewer, Melissa Brewer, Tammy Rogers, Jay (Shelley) Lunn, and Melissa Hugus; and 9 great-grandchildren, Shannen and Keith Dille, Austin, Morgan, and Scott Stonesifer, and Brady Lunn, Charlyn, Christina, and Scott Adams; a brother Edward (Punk) Moore of Spraggs and a sister Jean Farris of Waynesburg.

Deceased are a son Garry G. Brewer, and an infant daughter Cynthia Suzanne Brewer; a sister, Verna Dragan, and a brother, Jim Moore.

Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11:00 a.m., the hour of services on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, with Rev. Rev. Geoff Rach followed by burial at Fairall Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Spraggs United Methodist Church.
