MARY LEE DEAN (nee Hewitt), age 89, passed away on August 28, 2025. Born in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania on December 13, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harry Glenn and Essie Iola Hewitt.
Mary Lee was preceded in death by her husband George Dean and her sister Norma Jean Straight. She is survived by her children Christie Burkhart (Scott), Steven Dean (Nikki), and Brian Dean (Maria); step-children George Dean (Linda), David Dean (Laura), and Connie Szuhay (Don O’Hearn); grandchildren Kimberly Burkhart, Sheena Wright (David), Cody Dean (Jenna), Michael Dean (Elena), Anna Dean, Olivia Becka (Tyler), and Julia Duque (Alejandro); step-grandchildren Melissa Schroeder (Charlie), Matthew Dean (Kristina), Nicole Thome (Nicholas), Stacey Dean-Sioss (James), Michelle Marks, and Kelly Szuhay; and great grandchildren Nolan, Calvin, Pierson, Owen, Ryan, Kellen, Amelia, Clara, Nicholas, Joseph, Thomas, Lorenzo, Olivia, Penney, Rosey, Liam, Adelynne, Sophia, and Harmony. Mary Lee had close relationships with the children of her sister, Norma Jean and their families including Jim Straight (Pam), Scott Straight (deceased) (Barb), Susie Straight-Varner (deceased), Brett Straight (Susan), and their children.
