Melvin Edwin Wood

He was born Wednesday, December 17, 1947 in Waynesburg, PA. A son of the late Francis E. Wood and Viola Virginia Teegarden Wood.

Mr. Wood was a member of the WWJD Church in West Waynesburg. He enjoyed hunting,fishing and crocheting. Mr. Wood especially enjoyed helping his children. He was a former member of the Waynesburg Lions Club. At one time he worked for Rich Mobile Homes in Khedive. He was a self employed electrician retiring in 2009.

He is survived by his Wife: Linda Renner Wood, whom he married on April 06, 1974.

Also Surviving are: 1 Daughter: Megan Lantz, and her Husband Thomas Jeffrey Jr., of Waynesburg, PA., 2 Sons: Michael Wood, of Waynesburg, and Heath Wood and his Wife Kayla of Jefferson, PA., 6 Grandchildren: Jordan Wood, Brendan Wood, Brelynn Wood, Landon Wood, Owen Wood, and Eliana Wood.

1 Sister: Elaine "Sissy" Randall, of Greenville, PA., and 1 Brother:

Gaylord Wood and his wife Judy, of Greenville, PA., and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is 1 Grandson: Dylan Wood

Friends will be received from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 05, 2019 in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director,197 N. Maiden St Waynesburg, PA 15370 where services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 06, 2019 with Pastor James Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt.
