She was born on March 21, 1950, in Fairmont, WV a daughter of the late Phillip Hayes and Nellie Kovach Hayes.
Jean was a resident of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed flowers, spending time with her grandchildren and going to "The Hot Spot." Jean was also a homemaker.
Her Husband: Ike Wood, whom she was married to for over 30 years survives. Also surviving is her Daughter: Kimberly (Forrest) Dains of Waynesburg, PA, 2 Grandchildren: Ashleigh Magazine of Waynesburg, PA, Kodi Daines of Waynesburg, PA and her Brother: Phillip Mark Hayes of Morgantown, WV.
Visitation will be held at Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., located at 197 North Maiden St., Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, 15370, Shane M. Ayers-Managing Director on October 8, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The funeral service will follow at the same location, starting at 1:00 pm with Pastor Robert Mooney officiating.
Jean will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Waynesburg.
