He was born May 19, 1920 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Gaetano and Mary Angela Tolella Bruno.
Mr. Bruno was a retired farmer and business owner. On his farm he raised chickens and operated an orchard. He owned and operated the Twin Cup in Waynesburg for several years.
He was a lifetime resident of Waynesburg where he was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. His hobby was gardening.
On June 30, 1948 he married Betty Dugan Bruno, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Ralph W. Bruno; a granddaughter, Heather Lynn Gilbert; a grandson, Steven Phillip Bruno; and a great-granddaughter Lindsey Renee Gilbert, all of Waynesburg.
He was the last of his immediate family. Deceased are four sisters, Nellie Bava, Rosie Catherino, Mary Matz, and Marcella Petros; and five brothers, Joe Bruno, Frank Bruno, Louie Bruno, Tony Bruno, and Mickey Bruno.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday August 20, 2011 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church 232 East High St., Waynesburg with Rev. Richard J. Thompson celebrant. Entombment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park.
