Ramona Petros

She was born November 30, 1934 to the late Clyde Roberts and Nettie Shriver Roberts Taylor. She was a graduate of Waynesburg High School Class of 1953. She later earned a PA Real Estate Brokers license. She married John Waychoff in 1956; he preceded her in death in 2007. They leave three children, Bonnie Waychoff, John Waychoff, and Mark Waychoff. She married Walter Petros in 1980; he preceded her in death in 1998. Ramona was a resident of Waynesburg most of her life, where she worked as a seasonal telephone operator and real estate agent/broker. She was also a homemaker and gardener. She enjoyed harvesting her own crops, plus gathering wild seeds, nuts, and berries to bake with. Her flower gardens were always beautiful. She was very charitable to family, friends, and neighbors and will be missed widely.

Surviving are two sons, John and wife Kim of Alaska, and Mark and wife Annemarie of Oak Forest; daughter, Bonnie of Waynesburg; six grandchildren, Shawn Wilson, Charles Yoders Jr., Travis Yoders, Jerry Waychoff, Matthew Waychoff, and Sarah Waychoff; and 27 great-grandchildren.

In addition to John, Walter, and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Clyde Roberts Jr.; grandson, Scott Yoders; stepfather, Wilbur Taylor; and stepmother, Margaretta Stone Roberts.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday, October 16 from 10 AM until the hour of service at 12 PM at Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High St., Waynesburg, PA 15370; burial to follow at Rosemont Cemetery in Rogersville, PA.
