Robert "Bob" Lloyd Strope, 82, passed away at 10:42 AM on October 11, 2026, at home. He was born on February 28, 1944, in Waynesburg, PA, a son of the late Charles "Jake" Strope and Pauline Tharp Strope.
Bob was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Waynesburg, PA.
He really enjoyed taking his family to church camp in Butler, PA, woodworking, bowling and playing card games with his family.
His Wife: Helen, whom he married on April 10, 1965 survives. Also surviving are 4 Sons: Charles D. (Tracy) Strope of East View, PA, Robert R. Strope of Waynesburg, PA, William A. (Laurice) Strope of Waynesburg, PA, Blake A. (Rachel) Strope of Green Castle, PA, 9 Grandchildren: Jessica (Josh) Wise, Joey (Gabby) Strope, Ashton Pollach, Aidan, Logan, Amelia, Zoe, Eleanor and Jillian Strope, 3 Great-Grandchildren: Allison, Bennett and Charlotte Wise, 1 Sister: Jane (Clyde) Sandidge of Clayton, NC and several nieces and nephews. Deceased: 1 Sister-Patricia Cooper
There will be visitation held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2026 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers- Managing Director where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 16, 2026 with Pastor Tim Frye officiating.
Burial will take place at Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville, PA.
