

Sharon Elaine McCormick, 73, of Morgantown, West Virginia passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024 at the home of her son Steven. Sharon was born July 3, 1951 in Cumberland, Maryland, a daughter of the late Frank Bible and Evelyn Collawn Bible. Sharon was also preceded in death by her stepfathers Walter Perry and Homer Sampsell. Her Husband: Stanley "Ted" McCormick survives. Also surviving are 1 Son: Steven McCormick of Morgantown, WV, her Siblings: Carl Bible of Florida, Delores Hollida of West Virginia, Karen (Lee) Bennett of Maryland and Kenneth Perry of North Carolina, her Stepbrother: Richard "Dick" Perry of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Deceased is her dearly beloved Grandmother: Rosa Belle Metz King and Siblings: Frank Bible, Clarence Bible, Harold Bible and Shirley Wiley.
Sharon was Baptist by faith. She was a member of the Fairmont Sports Deaf Club and an alumni of the Maryland School for the Deaf. Sharon had worked as a seamstress for the S. Schwab Company.
She adored her husband, son, and the rest of her family and friends. Sharon also dearly loved her good friends, Debby, Doug, and Teresa. She especially loved her friend Donna, who sadly passed away too soon, but who Sharon will see again in heaven. She was dearly loved by all in return.
Throughout her life, she had a love of animals, especially of her pets that she shared with her husband and son. She cared for many animals her whole life, and never turned away an animal in need. When in poor health, she was more concerned about her beloved pets. In our memories we'll fondly remember her with faithful animal companions always at her side.
Sharon always loved babies and children and enjoyed caring for her family’s and friends’ children. She always loved to laugh and joke, spend time playing games, talking with her friends, and being with her family and pets.
We are most grateful for the gift of friends and family like you, who have been so kind and thoughtful during these hours of sorrow. Your prayers, visits, calls, and every act of kindness, have given us strength and inspiration. for the facing of this hour.
