Sharon Roach

She was born July 20, 1945 in Pentress, WV, a daughter of the late Edward Arthur Spitznogle and Louise Mayfield Spitznogle.

Sharon was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waynesburg.

She belonged to the Red Hat Society and the James T. Maxon American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #992 of Mount Morris, PA.

She enjoyed gardening, coloring and spending time with all of her family. Sharon absolutely loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson.

She had served as a home-health aid for many years.

Her Husband: Lawrence Wesley Roach died on July 12, 2015. Surviving are 3 Daughters: Sharon Kirby of Waynesburg, PA, Theresa (George) Novotny of St. Pete, FL, Maranda Roach and Sam Morris, 2 Sons: James Roach of Waynesburg, PA, John Roach of Waynesburg, PA, 10 Grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandson Weston Thistlethwaite, 2 Sisters: Brenda Yager and Erma Wellmon, 1 Brother: Roy Spitznogle and several nieces and nephews. Deceased: 1 Granddaughter: Sarah Kirby, 2 Great-Grandchildren: Kyle McCarty and James Kirby, 3 Brothers: Charles, Tom and Albert Spitznogle.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers- Managing Director where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 25, 2026 with Pastor Robert Mooney officiating. Interment will be private.
