Stephen Dale Kiger

Stephen Dale Kiger, 65 of Waynesburg, PA died February 25, 2024 at home. He was born November 18, 1958 in Waynesburg, PA a son of the late Dale K. Kiger and Bonnie Bleakney Kiger. Steve was a lifetime resident of Greene County. He retired from the Waynesburg volunteer fire department Company 61. He spent many years at his “hobby” job helping Wade’s Body and Frame Shop on wrecker calls. He enjoyed hunting, John Deere plow days, four wheeling, tractor pulls and off roading in the mud. Steve worked since age 14 as a gas attendant at Greenwood oil company and retired in 2022 from BFS. He is survived by his wife, Tamie Escott Kiger, his daughter, Megan and husband Mitchell Ring of Waynesburg, PA, grandchildren Emerson Ring and Ryleigh Ring of Waynesburg, PA, his sister, Vicki and husband Ed Hinerman of Waynesburg, PA, nephew Jared Hinerman and niece Nicole Hinerman and several uncles, aunts and cousins. Deceased is a son Robert Matthew Deter, who died in October of 2011. Friends will be received from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., 197 North Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA Shane M. Ayers, Director, where his funeral service will be held at 7:30 PM. burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the Corner Cupboard Food Bank, 881 Rolling Meadows Rd. Waynesburg PA 15370.
