He was born March 12, 1947 in Glen Dale, West Virginia, a son of the late Thomas J. and Jane Hill Burgess.
He was a 1967 graduate of Carmichaels High School.
Mr. Burgess resided most of his life in Waynesburg where he operated an auto body shop.
He enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are a daughter, Kelly White of Clifton, Virginia; a granddaughter, Ashley Mills of Fairfax, Virginia; a brother Jerry Burgess (Diane) of Rosemont, Minnesota; a sister, Linda Jones (Gene) of St. Clairsville, Ohio; two nieces and four nephews.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the time of services, Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, with Rev.
