

He was born Saturday, September 28, 1946 in Wana, WV A son of the late Allison Cross and Geraldine Renner Cross.
Bill was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Waynesburg, where he had served on the church board for several years and was the Adult Sunday School teacher for several years. He was a disabled veteran having served with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Bill was a 1964 graduate of Clay-Battelle High School in Blacksville, WV. He loved gardening, and in recent years, riding motorcycles. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Bill loved supporting and attending church activities. He was known as an encourager and having an amazing sense of humor. He was gifted at writing poetry and was well known for his beautiful poetry.
Bill worked for 30 years for Columbia Gas Transmission Corp having held several positions at several locations before retiring as Operation Supervisor.
His first Wife: Janet Leoma Snell Cross whom he married November 27, 1967 died August 18, 1991.
He is survived by his second Wife: Gwen Herrington Cross, whom he married on November 23, 1991.
Also surviving are 5 Daughters: Tammy Cross, of Waynesburg, PA., Becky L. (Grant) Frodelius, of Waynesburg, PA.,
Jessica (Robbie) Ringeisen, of Rogers, OH., Joni (Luke) Watson, of Bethel Park, PA., and Faith (Chris) Czmiel, of Eglon, WV., 1 Son: Craig (Amber) Cross,of Mill Hall, PA. 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. 1 Sister: Deborah (Bob) Brookover of Pentress, WV and 1 Brother Rick (Kathy) Cross of Spanish Fort, Alabama and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday December 14, 2020 at the First Assembly of God Church 4131 West Roy Furman Hwy Waynesburg, PA. 15370. We ask that people pay their respects and proceed out of the church. CDC restrictions of allowing 10 people at a time to enter the church will be followed. Maiden St Waynesburg, PA 15370 have been entrusted with his arrangements. Services will be private with Bill's son Pastor Craig Cross and Pastor James Galbraith officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Bank Cemetery, Pine Bank, PA. Full graveside Military Honors will be accorded by Greene County Veterans and representatives of the United States Air Force.
