Adam James Hughes

Adam James Hughes passed away at his home with family by his side on June 28, 2024, at the age of 44. Adam was born on April 19, 1980, in Rota, Spain, and had most recently resided in the mountains of California and North Carolina

Adam was a funny guy with a big heart! He was shy and liked to keep to himself but if you were lucky enough to be loved by Adam you were lucky enough to witness his kindness and sneaky sense of humor. Adam found joy in being kind and good to others. If he could lend a hand, he would not hesitate. Adam quietly sponsored children in third-world countries, offering them a chance for a brighter future and he was always the first to lend a hand to the elderly, providing support and care.

A lover of the great outdoors, Adam found solace in the mountains and loved his dirt bikes and quads. The thrill and freedom he experienced while riding his dirt bike brought him so much joy.

Adam is survived by his father, Danny Hughes, his mother, Patricia Hughes, and his sister, Danielle Hughes. He will also be deeply missed by his loving niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and all blessed to know him.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 6, at Green Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Doyle Holder officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 am on Saturday, July 6, at Garrett Funerals and Cremations.

Adam will be dearly missed but we know in our hearts he has moved on to be with his Lord and Savior in his new kingdom and is now pain-free.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
