Waynesville-Annie Marie Moody, 95, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2016, at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation. Annie was born in Haywood County on November 27, 1920, to the late Robert and Effie Farmer Mehaffey. Granny Annie loved taking care of her family and would be the first to tell you all about her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Roy Lee Moody; a son, Dale Moody; brothers, Jack, Robert, Sam, and Mark Mehaffey; and sisters, Lucille Reagan, Helena Norman, and Jeanette Crawford. Annie is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Asbury (Ken); sons, Danny Moody (Shirley) and Johnny Moody (Terri); ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 27, at Buchanan Cemetery with the Reverend James Hensley officiating.
