Arlene Milner Carpenter, 93, went home to Heaven on Thursday, October 31, 2024, while in the care of HRMC, to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Arlene was born on September 7, 1931 to the late J.W. Milner and Mauzella McElroy Milner of Canton. She was one of three sisters and seven brothers in a close-knit family. She was a talented crafter, weaving many beautiful baskets, making wreathes at Christmas time, and quilting. She also directed the weddings of many of her nieces and nephews, and other close friends. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Arlene is survived by her one son, Neil (Cindy) Carpenter; two grandchildren, Chase (Emily) Carpenter; Chelsea Carpenter; one great grandchild, Kinsley Jo Carpenter; one brother, Dennis (Betty Sue) Milner; many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by three brothers in law, their spouses, and two sisters in law. Arlene loved her family dearly, and her influence on all who knew her will be felt for generations to come.
