Brenda Jean Gaddis Woody

Brenda Jean Gaddis Woody passed on August 2, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born in Haywood County, NC on December 29, 1946, to the late Luther and Thelma Gilliland Gaddis.

Brenda made biscuits at Hardees on Russ Avenue in Waynesville, where she was awarded Biscuit Maker of the Year. Brenda enjoyed beading and reading. Most of all, Brenda loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Roy "Gene" Woody.

Brenda is survived by her sons, Roger Woody and Greg Woody (Tina); grandchildren, Rachel Woody, Katlyn Sherrill (Taylor) and Kimberly Woody; great-grandchildren, Braelyn Davis, Korbyn Jackson, Landon Woody and Nora Sherrill; and special family friend, Michael Davis.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 5, at the Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive family and friends after the service at the home of Greg and Tina Woody, 588 Smathers Street, Waynesville, NC.
